The New England Fishery Management
Council is submitting Framework 11 to the Atlantic Sea Scallop FMP
and Framework 29 to the Northeast Multispecies FMP. This submission
requests the clearance of revisions to the Northeast Region's
vessel monitoring and communications requirements. The new
collection of information requirements resulting from the
implementations of the FMP include: (1) VMS purchase and
installation, (2) verification of VMS installation, (3) VMS hourly
reporting, (4) VMS daily reporting of catch, (5) VMS report of
intent to fish in next month, (6) notification prior to trips for
observer....
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
