Frogwatch USA was created as a means to detect population trends in populations of frogs and toads throughout the United States. This group of animals has been undergoing large-scale declines and extinctions in the U.S. and the world. Interested volunteers do 3 minute counts of calling frogs and toads in the spring at their ponds and wetlands and submit their data via the World Wide Web to a data base. Data collected act as a baseline for comparisons with future years and documents understanding of the extent and magnitude of these changes. Volunteers comes from throughout the entire U.S. population and would primarily come in
