Abstract: This information collection is necessary to comply with 35 U.S.C. 251, which mandates that the PTO reissue a patent to correct any errors in the original patent which occured "without any deceptive intention" on the part of the patentee. 37 CFR details the requirements for the supplemental oath or declaration that the applicant must submit with the reissue application to assert that the error being corrected by the reissue occurred without any deceptive intent by the applicant.
