With the importance of professional development to school reform and excellence in teaching and learning, there is an immediate need to continue to identify and recognize schools and school districts with exemplary professional development activities that are linked to demonstrated successes in increasing student achievement. The Department will solicit applications from those operating effective professional development activities in schools and school districts at the pre-K through 12 level, evaluate these applications with the help of professional educators, and recognize up to 10 applicants whose professional..
