Abstract: NMFS will require Alaskan Natives who harvest beluga whales in Cook Inlet to report certain information and to submit the labelled jawbones on the whales taken. The information is necessary to evaluate the health and stability of this stock and to contruct a management regime that will provide for a sustainable subsistence harvest by Alaskan Natives.
