Abstract: For investigational new drug applications (INDs), the rule requires that sponsors submit in their annual reports the numbers of clinical subjects enrolled in their studies by age group, gender, and race. For new drug applications (NDAs), the rule requires that safety and effectiveness data be provided by gender, age, and racial subgroups, among other relevant subgroups.
