TOPPS II will further the effort to
help States develop or enhance their management information systems
and outcome monitoring systems for assessment of clients as they
progress through their State's substance abuse treatment system.
Participating States will use a consensus-developed set of common
data elements for coordinated measurement of outcomes. The
inter-State study uses a multiple-group pretest-post-test design
with repeated measures at admission, discharge, and post-treatment.
Findings and experiences will be shared with other States to assist
in their further development of....
