As agent for the North American
Wetlands Conservation Council, the FWS solicits proposals for
partnership-based projects to be funded under the NAWCA; section 19
requires the Council to conduct monitoring and evaluation of the
partnership-based projects to ensure that the program efficiently
and effectively accomplishes the purpose of the Act. Projects
solicited under this new Evaluation Grants Program are the basis
for the request to make information collections. The NAWCA program
is established to protect and enhance significant wetlands
resources for migratory birds and other wildlife.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
