The Bureau of Labor Statistics awards
funds to State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) in the 50
States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands,
Guam, and American Samoa each year to assist them in operating one
or more of five LMI cooperative statistical programs: Current
Employment Statistics, Local Area Unemployment Statistics,
Occupation Employment Statistics, Covered Employment and Wages
Report, and Mass Layoff Statistics. The LMI Cooperative Agreement
includes all information needed by the SESAs to apply for these
funds and, once awarded, report on the status of obligation and
expenditure.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
