This ICR is
approved in accordance with 5 CFR 1320. Before resubmission of this
ICR for extension, the agency should reassess the estimates of
burden taking into account agency and respondent experience with
the guidelines. The agency should also include in the extension
submission the estimates of capital expenditure and burden
associated with installation and operation and maintenance of
control equipment expected to occur after the period covered by
this ICR, in addition to estimates of burden for other information
collection activities.

Respondents are owners or operators of
existing small municipal waste combustor units that have the
capacity to burn between 35 and 250 tons per day of municipal solid
waste. All respondents must submit notifications of increment of
air pollution control retrofit progress, results of initial and
annual emission tests, results of initial and annual continuous
emission monitoring system evaluations, and keep records of all
emission rates and selected operating parameters. The information
will be used to ensure that the emission guidelines for small
municipal waste combustor units are being achieved on a continued
basis.
