Approved consistent with changes described in DOL memos of 11-26- 99 and 12-3-99 and revised scheduling letters attached. The issue of the definition of applicant and employer obligation to solicit race and gender information on applicants is still being discussed by OMB, DOL, and EEOC in connection with EEOC collection 3076-0017 (The Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures cited in this collection). Pending the resolution of these discussions DOL may need to make changes to the burden associated with 1215-0072. Also, DOL will undertake an examination of the reporting burden associated with the addition of question 8 to the compliance review scheduling letter. DOL will report to OMB on the results of this examination as soon as possible after the end of FY2000 but no later than October 31, 2000.
