Terms of Clearance: This ICR is approved under 5 CFR 1320. Before EPA resubmits this ICR for renewal, it must conduct a more comprehensive evaluation of waste analysis programs for different types of commercial facilities, to confirm that the costs of waste analyses are adequately represented in the OMB inventory. EPA must also reevaluate, after consulting with respondents, the burden associated with the other activities conducted under this data collection. EPA should ensure that adequate time is provided for input from affected entities.

Abstract: Section 304 of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), as amended, requires that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) develop standards for hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs) as may be necessary to protect human health and the environment. The regulations implementing these requirements are codified in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), title 40, parts 264 and 265.
