Abstract: FERC-567 information is required by the Commission to obtain accurate data on pipeline facilities and the peak capacity of those facilities. The data are used in validating the need for new facilities proposed by interstate pipelines. Under section 7 of the Natural Gas Act, the Commission is required to analyze certificate applications and their impact on market expansions of new facilities.
