The Textile Act Regulations (16 C.F.R.
303) require accurate disclosure of material product information in
a standardized format. They also require manufacturers and
marketers who substitute labels (e.g., resellers) to keep records
necessary to reflect the bases relied upon in making fiber content
and country of origin disclosures. These disclosure and
recordkeeping requirements, respectively, facilitate informed
buying decisions and effective monitoring of compliance.

1320.8(b)(3).
