The proposed study, precipitated by President Clinton, is directed toward determining whether and how entertainment industry members (motion picture, recording, video/PC/ coin-operated game industries) market violent material to children. The FTC plans to obtain related information through interviews and document requests of industry members. In addition, the FTC plans to conduct consumer research, which will be addressed at a later time.
