This information
collection is associated with three interim rules. The provisions
of these rules are reflected in this extension request. Two of the
three rules, however, have not yet been published. As such, FNS is
granted a short-term extension on the existing information
collection requirements not associated with the unpublished rules.
Upon publication of all three regulations in the Federal Register,
FNS will resubmit this IC package for approval.

The WIC Program provides nutrition
benefits to low income women, infants and children. It is
administered by State and local governments. Benefits are obtained
through retail vendor, home delivery and direct distribution
systems. This submission is being made to extend the general
program information collection burden of the WIC Program for an
additional three years
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies

1320.8(b)(3).
