Abstract: The proposed rule would implement Title V Subtitle A of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Title V limits the instances in which a financial institution may disclose a consumer's nonpublic personal information to a non-affiliated party. The proposed requirements will ensure that customers and consumers subject to certain exceptions will have access to the privacy policies of the financial institutions with which they conduct business.
