The Common Industry Format (CIF) for reporting the results of software usability tests has been developed to facilitate the exchange of usability data. To validate the use of the CIF, evaluation teams will be recruited from professional usability practitioners, the software industry, and academic institutions. These teams will test a website or computer application and will report their results by using the CIF.
