The Department of Education's Safe and Drug-Free Schools Program supports efforts to promote safe and disciplined schools for all students. In order to establish or expand counseling programs in elementary schools, the Department is providing $20 million to LEA's that demonstrate the greatest need for counseling services in the schools to be served, propose the most innovative and promising approaches, and show the greatest potential for eplication and dissemination. This collection falls under the Streamlined Discretionary Grant Process, 1890-0001.
