consistent with DOL's memo of 5/17/2000 and the following terms of
clearance: (1) DOL will revise the report to provide a breakout of
expenditures for in school youth and out of school youth. (2) DOL
will revise the report to capture what amount of the total
expenditures came from the 15% state setaside. (3) DOL will revise
the report to capture how many youth have no further activity
planned following completion of the summer program. (4) DOL will
use its planned fall 2001 follow report to get any additional and
necessary information on the summer program -- specifically the
extent to which summer participants are involved in other, longer
term training and educaiton activities.

emergency basis, the Summer 2000 Youth Employment Opportunities
will conclude before a routine approval can be obtained. This will
prevent the Department from taking any action to assure that our
customers are served effectively.
