This survey of 8,300 public and private elementary and secondary school teachers is the fourth in series. It is a follow-up to the 1999-2000 Schools and Staffing Survey (SASS) and collects data on public school and private school teacher' characteristics and attitudes, as well as the factors affecting their decisions to stay in. or leave, the teaching profession.
