Terms of Clearance: Approved consistent with ED's memos and revisions of 5/31/00 and 6/1/00. Prior to implementation of the study, ED will submit to OMB final versions of the survey, results of the pilot test, revised burden hour estimates as well as a revised estimate of the annual cost to the Federal government. OMB notes that in general, ED should provide final versions of documents and estimates at the time of OMB submission. However, in this instance, ED has an opportunity to coordinate multiple collections and thus final versions can be submitted at a later time.

Abstract: This study will collect and analyze information about the implementation and outcomes of the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund at the state and local levels. Drawing upon sources such as the annual state TLCF performance reports, local technolgy plans, and survey work, this study will produce a national representative picture of TLCF's contributions to the availability and use of technology in schools and provide information on targeting, flexiblity and other key aspects of the program.
