Abstract: The prescribed report is necessary for the Maritime Administration to fulfill its responsibilities under PR 17, 73rd Congress and 46 App. U.S.C. 1241 for the control and surveillance of ocean shipments moving under Cargo Preference laws; and to ensure compliance and equitable distribution of shipments made between U.S.-flaage and foreign ships.
