The Agriculture Market Information
Survey (AMIS) was developed in an attempt to understand whether the
agricultural market information that the USDA and other public and
private sources collects and disseminates meets the needs of those
who actually use such information. The survey seeks to asses how
the dramatic changes in agriculture in the last decade have
affected the need for economic information on
agricultural/commodity markets. The results will be used to provide
information and analysis that meet the needs of market participants
and to improve public and private decisionmaking on agricultural
issues.
