DPHS, PHPPO, CDC proposes to collect,
analyze, and disseminate data on the public health infrastructure
and performance of local health jurisdictions. The data will be
based on the framework of the ten essential public health services
and will be used to monitor progress towards accomplishments of
national infrastructure objectives included in Healthy People 2010
and by health officials/policy makers for quality improvement and
strategic planning. Final processes and data protocols will be
based on the information gathered during field testing.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies

1320.8(b)(3).
