A review of studies evaluating worker
notification reveals that there still remain many unanswered
questions about the short term impact or the effectiveness of
worker notifications or risk communications to workers. A random
sample of 250 notified workers and up to 4 other stakeholders will
be contacted for telephone interviews concerning the
understandability, retention, and usefulness of the notification
materials they individually received by mail. Collected data will
be conded and the results will be compiled for use annually in a
