In an effort to minimize delays in
Enhanced 911 rule implementation, the Second Memorandum and Order
provides that in the case of disputes between wireless carriers and
public safety answering points regarding E911 transmission method
or other technology, the parties involved may petition for
Commission assistance in resolving their dispute. Thus, in order
for the Commission to participate in negotiations, petitioners will
have to provide the Commission with a certain amount of necessary
information concerning the dispute.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
