Abstract: The New England Fishery Management Council is submitting Framework 13 to the Atlantic Sea Scallop Fishery Management Plan and Framework 34 to the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan. This submission requests additions/revisions to the Northeast Region's vessel monitoring system (VMS) and communications requirements. The eight new information requirements are: (1) VMS purchase and installation, (2) VMS operation, (3) VMS verification, (4) VMS hourly reporting, (5) VMS daily reporting, and (6) VMS monthly reporting.
