This Information Collection Request
(ICR) would make additions to the existing recordkeeping and
reporting requirements applicable to refiners, importers,
marketers, distributors, retailers and other regarding the sulfur
content of motor vehicle gasoline they handle. The information
collected would be used by the Agency to ensure compliance with the
standards regarding the sulfur of gasoline. Information on the
generation, use, balance, and transfer of sulfur credits would be
used to verify that emission credits transactions are
valid.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
