The American Community Survey is a
monthly household survey. This survey, as part of the Continuous
Measurement System, is a new approach for collecting accurate,
timely information needed for critical Government functions. The
2000-2002 American Community Survey will be a continuation of the
comparison phase during which the Census Bureau will use the data
collected in the ACS to compare with data collected in the
decennial census in 2000.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
