Abstract: The American Community Survey is a monthly household survey. This survey, as part of the Continuous Measurement System, is a new approach for collecting accurate, timely information needed for critical Government functions. The 2000-2002 American Community Survey will be a continuation of the comparison phase during which the Census Bureau will use the data collected in the ACS to compare with data collected in the decennial census in 2000.
