The standard requires employers to
monitor employee exposure to ethylene oxide (EtO), to provide
medical surveillance, to train employees about the hazards of EtO,
and to establish and maintain accurate records of employee exposure
to EtO. These records will be used by employers, physicians, and
the Government to ensure that employees are not harmed by exposure
to EtO.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
