In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is approved for a
period of three years. However, the agency must provide to OMB a
plan for providing an electronic option for filing permit
applications and phytosanitary certificates or an explanation as to
why electronic options are not feasible. The agency is also
reminded that forms must bear the OMB number representing the
approved information collection.

This collection will allow a number of
fruits and vegetables to be imported into the United States, under
specified conditions, from certain parts of the world. These fruits
and vegetables include kiwi, oregano, and marjoram from Argentina;
broccoli, cauliflower, and turnips from Costa Rica; cabbages and
mustards from Honduras, pepper and eggplant from New Zealand, Peru,
and Spain; passion fruit from Chile, carambola from Mexico, papaya
from various Central American countries, peppers from Israel, and
Ya Pears from China.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
