CDC is funding the implementation of a
Binational Diabetes Prevention & Control Project in
collaboration with the Mexico Minister of Health, the four US
border states of Arizona, California, New Mexico, & Texas, and
the northern portions of six states in Mexico: Baja-California,
Chihuahua, Coshuila, Nuevo Leon, Sonora & Tamaulipas. This
project involves Phase I which includes a household survey of
adults living along the US-MX border region and Phase 2 which will
involve implementing community prevention interventions. These
