RM96-015 (Notice of Proposed Rulemaking) issued June 30, 2000 proposes to revise Part 284 of the Commission's regulations by adopting GISB (Gas Industry Standards Board) standards version 1.4. These requirements will direct pipelines to designate and rank the contracts under which gas will flow on a pipeline's system, so shippers will have the flexibility to choose the transportation contract which is the most economical and effi- cient to move gas supplies. Pipelines are also required to implement interactive Internet standards contained in Version 1.4 by June 1, 2000.
