This collection is a proposed rule to provide an alternative to our current requirements for moving swine interstate. Under this alternative, swine producers may move swine interstate without meeting individual swine identification and certain other requirements (such as obtaining health certificates and permits). However, the swine can only be moved within a single production system. (A production system consists of separate farms that each specialize in a different phase of swin production--sow herd, nursery herds, and finishing herds.
