Although work-exacerbated asthma is a
relatively common and potentially serious occupational health
problem, it has received little attention from researchers in the
United States. The current study will be conducted among adults
with asthma and will determine the frequency, causes, and
consequences of workplace exacerbation of asthma. The findings will
be used to prioritize resources for addressing this
problem.
