Terms of Clearance: This information collection request is approved on the following conditions. This generic grant application can be used for any grant program under the Administration for Children and Families provided that ACF submits a list of covered grants with each submission of this package and sends the name of any additional grants to be covered throughout the course of the year both to amend the file and for OMB approval. Additional grants identified to be included in this package will be reviewed by OMB within 10 working days after receipt.

Abstract: The UPD is used by ACF to solicit project description information used in discretionary grant program announcements to evaluate and rank applications. The UPD is an integral part of the application that employees a menu design allowing program offices to limit their request for information to only that which is relevant for a particular program. A menu approach minimizes hourly burden and Federal Register publication costs.
