Selected Liabilities of Broker or Dealer, to Foreigners,
Denominated in Dollars
Form BL-1/BL-1(SA) is required by law
and is designed to collect timely information on international
portfolio capital movements, including own U.S. dollar liabilities
of banks, other depository institutions, brokers & dealers
vis-a-vis foreigners. This information is necessary for compiling
U.S. balance of payments, for calculating U.S. international
investment position, and for formulating U.S. international
financial & monetary policies.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
