CDC/NIOSH is required to provide an
adequate supply of professionals to carry out the purposes of the
Occupational Safety and Health Act. this is accomplished through
training grants to support Education and Reearch Centers (ERCs) and
Training Project Grants (TPGs). Currently 16 ERCs and 36 TPGs are
funded at Universities throughout the country. Competing renewals
and new awards are submitted annually using CDC forms 2.145 A,
Non-competing applications which include progress reports are due
annually using forms 2.145 B. Competing applications are peer
reviewed by an external initial review....
