BLS is encouraged to add an incentive experiment to this round of
the NLSW similar to what has been tried in the NLSY, particularly
for the cohort of younger women. If BLS chooses to do so, they
shall submit an ICW to OMB for consideration of the experiment.
Finally, in future submissions, BLS is instructed to include health
and detailed income questions in their response to question 11 in
the supporting statement.

The Department of Labor will use this
information to help understand and explain the employment
activities, unemployment problems, and retirement decisions of
women. The mature women currently are ages 64-78 and the young
women are ages 47-57. We first interviewed them for the NLS in 1967
and 1968, respectively.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
