Under the Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2000 (Pub.L.106 113), FEMA may provide assistance for the acquisition and relocation of properties affected by Hurricane Floyd or surrounding events for hazard mitigation purposes. And, under P.L. 106-246, FEMA may provide assistance for the acquisition, relocation or elevation of properties made uninhabitable by flood in areas that had a major disaster declaration in federal fiscal years 1999 or 2000.
