Existing recordkeeping & reporting
requirements for participants in the groundfish fisheries of the
Exclusive Economic Zone off Alaska (Bering Sea & Alutian
Islands, Gulf of Alaska) to require owners of catcher/processor
vessels and motherships to complete State of Alaska, department of
Fish and Game Commercial Operator' Annual Reort (COAR). The COAR
provides information on exvessel & first wholesale values for
statewide fish and shellfish products. This information is curretly
submitted to the ADF&G by shoreside processors under State of
Alaska regulations, but NOAA proposes to extend this requirement to
at-sea groundfish processors ......
