A proposed rule would require the mandatory reporting or purchase of Atlantic bigeye, albacore, yellowfin, & skipjack (BAYS) tunas by permitted tuna dealers. Currently reporting on these species is only required of dealers when sharks or swordfish are landed at the same time. The information is needed for the management of the fishery.
