This screening survey will identify female twin pairs where both members are living and at least one member is likely to have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The pairs will be used in later studies investigating the environmental pathogenetic factors in PCOS development. Subjects are from the Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry. The instrument is simple, direct, and can be completed in 10 minutes. Questions invcolve period irregularity and evidence of hyperandrogenism.
