Abstract: FDA is proposing to require the submission to the agency of data and information regarding plant-derived bioengineered foods. FDA is proposing that this submission be made at least 120 days prior to the commercial distribution of such foods. The notice would include data and information about the bioengineered food and a narrative that provides an integrated discussion of those data and information. The notifier would maintain a record of relevant data and information that are not included in the notice.
