Abstract: Info. concerning citizenship of owner/applicant, build, tonnage, and marking of vessel is required to determine the eligibility of vessels for documentation and eligibility to engage in a particular employment. The Coast Guard is required to record bills of sale and data pertaining to mortgages. Vessels greater than 5 net tons are affected.
