CHS is a longitudinal cohort study evaluating people aged 65 years & older & the risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease. data is obtained by questionnaires and exams during yearly clinic visits, for one additional year. The measures obtained will be used to elucidate factors associated with subclinical and clinical disease including stroke, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure and death. The findings will lead to identification of factors that increase the risk for cardiovascular disease in this older population and may identify factors that can be addressed by using preventive....
