Form CM is required by law and is
designed to collect timely information on international portfolio
capital movements, including data on total U.S. dollar deposits
held by nonbanking business enterprises in the U.S. with banks
located outside the United States. This information is necessary
for compiling the U.S. balance of payments and the U.S.
international investment position, and for U.S. financial/monetary
policies.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
