Abstract: GNMA is authorized to guarantee the timely payment of principal and interest on securities which are based on or backed by a pool composed of mortgages insured by the FHA. Forms are used to provide a standard format for the description of securities for each type of mortgage eligible for inclusion in a mortgage-backed securities pool. Since each type of mortgage has different characteristics, it is necessary to have separate prospect uses for each program.
