FAR provisions permit submission of information electronically where both the agency and contractors are capable of electronic interchange. The Government Paperwork Elimination Act (GPEA) requires that agencies offer an electronic option by October 2003 where practicable. The FAR Council should work with agencies to ensure compliance with GPEA by October 2003.
